Busy, Busy Little Reader Bee

Wow! I cannot believe that I never posted my last Bout of Books update and the read-a-thon ended almost a month ago! I still have yet to fully calculate all my reading stats, but I will be doing so sometime tonight and then posting my wrap-up.

Since the readathon, I feel like I have been running around like a lunatic. My life this past month has consisted of two major work events, an early birthday celebration, along with my actual birthday, planning and attending BEA, and a mish-mash of other activities! Thankfully, none of this kept me from reading completely, although it did make me feel like my brain was mush at times. With one book, I had to go back and reread a whole bunch of pages because I wasn’t truly absorbing the story and another I didn’t even realize was a companion to a previous book I had read until almost halfway through – don’t ask me what I was thinking!

But now, for the time being, things are calming down again and I hope to be much more present here on my blog. I have a couple of reviews partially written, and notes for many others, so be on the look out for those and many more new posts!

Wicked happy seeing you coming back alive on here!

Dare I admit I’ve been stalking it every odd moon since you posted your Bout’er updates!? lol 🙂 No, seriously — I miss visiting you, chattering about all things bookish, adding new authors/stories to my own TBR based off what your devouring, and of course, the seriously awesome comment fests we used to co-share! 🙂 In full extent, I’ve been in ‘readerly’ withdrawal! Did you know that word (readerly) is ending up in some of my posts!?

Hmm,.. *nudge, nudge*,…

My mindset has been akin to yours for different reasons but the same end result — my concentration is shot, I’m dearly behind (a 5 day virus will do that to a girl!) on 4x blog tours, and I’m trying to right the sails to be current next week over this weekend. *whew!* 🙂

Ooh wicked grand! You made it to BEA! I was hoping my CC’ing you on Twitter might have winked out a hope I had that you would be attending! I cannot wait to hear which books you picked up, authors you’ve met, books you had signed, and all the lovely joy that goes with BEA! *huzzah!

Okay,.. I best give you time to write-up those posts!

You’ve been missed, dear friend!

Aww, thanks, Jorie! I’ve missed talking with you too! *HUGS*

Hee that is so great that you’ve been using the word readerly! I love that love for the word is spreading 🙂

Yes! I got my ticket for BEA and the bloggers conference back in February! The only problem now is I’m super bummed I’m going to have to miss out on BEA 2016 in Chicago. Even if I could afford to go, the dates don’t work for me with school. 🙁 Maybe you’ll make it in my stead???? I’m hoping so because it is so awesome! I have three things planned to post regarding BEA – all the goodness that comes from attending, a video showcasing all the books I got (because that was so much fun last year!), and a post about life post-BEA. Hoping to have them up by this time next week, but we shall see.

In the meantime, yes, I am off to finish up another post! Hope to talk again very soon! *more hugs*
